Considering the rapid advancements in technology and the growing need for sustainable solutions, professions in the fields of AI, data science, renewable energy, and healthcare are likely to be in high demand in 2024.

The thing to do while you are young is go to university. You have 2 years to take any course and explore different fields before settling on a subject that you wish to major in. Maximize your chances of finding that something. You'll become a better person. and widen your horizon.

Carpenter, electrician or plumber. You'll always have work, make good money and will be easy to set up your own business. And its way better than sitting at a desk starting at a screen all day.
Agreed also Hvac,Go for a licensed trade(if possible) way more money to be made, been there for years
HVAC= heating, ventilation and Air conditioning

Also, all the beauty/appearance related professions like barbers, facial treatments and all that. This is unlikely to die anytime soon.

America is short over 200,000 plumbers. In most states a journeyman plumber can make over $100K a year. If you own your own business and are willing to work, you can easily top that. Electricians, carpenters, welders, all are begging for people. Nobody wants to get their hands dirty in this country any more.

Depends on what you like. Some jobs will require you to sit in an AC room while others will make you go out in the heat/cold/rain. Some jobs require highly technical knowledge while others require you to do manual work. Some jobs require creativity while others require you to follow exact steps again and again.

Personally, I like anything related to science/engineering. I am fine with both field jobs and office work. I absolutely hate a job where I have to deal with multiple people on a daily basis.

A friend of ours obtained his journeyman certificate in hvac and plumbing, started his own business a couple years ago and he is making money hand-over-fist, always in high demand because he is not only good at the job, but he's also very honest, and he gives discounts to his friends, charging us no more than half of the industry standard for recent furnace and plumbing repairs. He is backlogged constantly with service requests.

Btw, the best profession for 2024 for me would be retirement, but I'm still about 3 years away 😔
