Advice Request What is a good backup program?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
Sure, you can consider using EaseUS Todo Backup, Acronis True Image, or Macrium Reflect. These programs offer periodic backup options and support backing up to an external SSD.

Hi,
can you suggest me a good backup program that can be used periodically to save your data to an external SSD?

Thanks!

Hasleo. Stable and reliable. It is free now but will cost in the future, but to a low cost compared to others.

Thanks and I will try Hasleo Backup Suite free version (I hope there is also a 32 BIT version).

In general what type of backup do you suggest?

Complete, incremental or differential?

My need is that once the first complete backup of everything is done, every time I add or remove files on the PC, this is updated in the SSD, adding or removing the files that I have managed on the PC.

Thanks.

Looking at the Hasleo Software manufacturer's website, it seems that there is an x86 version, so it is compatible with 32-bit/64-bit architecture.(y)

I suggest using the standard Hasleo Backup Suite if you're going to do scheduled backups.:)
Complete, incremental or differential?
The first backup I suggest is a full backup, keep at least 2 full backups. Then only make incremental backups, which can vary from 5 incremental backups or more, depending on the number of programs you have or how many you install on your computer and the security updates, in the event of a problem you restore to the previous incremental backup and you're back with your computer working normally before a problem occurs. Differential backups can be as few as 3 or as many as 5, depending on how much space you have on your HDD or SSD. (y)

Exactly, the first backup will be complete, this first backup image will be clean, with all your apps, documents, photos installed, preferences and so on or however you see fit. If for some reason your SSD crashes and the incremental and differential backups are unable to restore the backup you want, you'll still have one last card up your sleeve, which is to restore your full backup to the first backup you made and where it all started. Remember: Always leave incremental backup enabled in Hasleo Backup Suite, and always opt for incremental backup even if you're only going to make one backup, understand? Unless you're doing a differential backup. ;)
You're welcome, buddy. (y)

Ok. Thanks 😉

I have been using Veeam for several years and it is a good backup solution. The Interface is a bit antiquated, but the core product is very solid and reliable. I tried Hasleo once and found it to work very well, but went back to Veeam since my backup needs are modest.
