My Dell is dying slowly, but after 6 years I am more than satisfied. When the financial circumstances let me I was thinking to get Asus K555LN-XX237D X555LN - Features. As it's awesome. Try to find in France if possible. Actually you would have a better battery life with integrated graphics as you won't game and it will mostly serve you outside. So MATE not Glossy screen! ;)
ASUS will go louder than ACER (on stress) but a bit cooler on stress and idle. Also battery usage is almost the same for those 2 series models, of course individually I cannot tell as I could only find ASUS with 5200U which drains less power than Haswell. But it's also slower.

Long story short. both are objectively cheap. So for 450e don't expect some ultra quality. Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, they all make good laptops and with the same specs you should actually watch user experiences with certain models, noise levels, temperatures and at last... looks :D All of them are made mostly from plastic. And all of those manufacturers are long enough in business to know where they did go wrong in the past with architecture, air flow problems, position of the parts.

Still, I would go with ASUS... It looks more sexy :D

My experiences with HP have shown that their implementation of heat dissipation via their cooling systems is not any where close to being decent, just as the same with Toshiba's. Asus on the other hand, well, so far I'm impressed with the cooling systems. Just my two cents worth.

i put a poll on a new thread

so i close this thread.
