WhatsApp is probably the world's biggest instant messaging service, and despite being owned by Meta, it has some privacy features, such as encryption and "one-time" sending of videos, photos, and voice notes. Someone might have just found a fatal flaw with the latter feature.

A significant security flaw has been discovered in WhatsApp's "View Once" feature on its web app. This vulnerability allows malicious actors to save images and videos meant to disappear after being viewed, undermining the privacy intentions of the feature.

This is just plain ridiculous. May I disclose another serious vulnerability? Grab a phone, open camera, open WhatsApp on another device and take a picture of image that can only be seen once. You wouldn't believe it, but it also works on video too! Just instead of taking a picture start recording a video. Shocking, isn't it?

You also get the audience as a bonus! So it feels like you're right there with them! The only thing that gives it away is there is no one to throw popcorn at you.

Maybe if it is not a Meta (Facebook) product, it is known to be the most notorious company in history when it comes to users privacy.
