Found on tweakers.net (Dutch).

Microsoft has rolled out a new beta version of Windows 11. The update includes some improvements, but probably also a patch that would no longer allow users to bypass the TPM 2.0 requirement via the /product server command.

X user Bob Poney discovered the patch in Windows 11 Insider Build 27686, which is currently being distributed via the Canary channel. The user attempted to install the new build on a computer without the TPM 2.0. module, but apparently failed, even though he used the workaround via the /product server command. Users could use this command to bypass the TPM 2.0 system requirement. There could be other ways to do this.

Bob Poney writes that the patch is not yet in Windows 11 24H2. It is not clear whether Microsoft also wants to place the patch in a final version of the operating system.

Thanks for sharing this information. It seems Microsoft is indeed taking steps to ensure the TPM 2.0 requirement is met for Windows 11 installations. This patch in the new Insider Build 27686 might be a disappointment for users who were relying on the workaround. We'll have to wait and see if this patch makes it into the final version of the OS.
