Hello, I've a old laptop Core i3 7th generation 2.40Ghz and 8GB RAM installed X64 system. Can I install Windows 11 on it with the help of any tricks? I know 7th generation is officially not supported by Win 11 but if anyone know any method to do so, kindly share. Thanks in advance.

While officially unsupported, some users have managed to install Windows 11 on older hardware using the Windows Insider Program or by creating a modified ISO. However, this is not recommended due to potential compatibility issues and lack of official support from Microsoft. Proceed at your own risk.

Any other tricks??
Ventoy will just do the job, and bypass every single restriction for Windows 11, except SSE 4.2 for very old cpu such as core 2 duo.
It has one more advantage, you just install it on usb memory and launch from usb to install Windows from ISO file on your HDD, without the need to copy it to your usb memory.

Although it is not what you are asking about, but why not to use Linux on this laptop rather than Windows 11?

Linux is very user-friendly now and lighter on resources and faster for older machines than Windows, you can start with Linux Mint, try it using USB without installing, when you are happy with it, you can then install it, this is what I did with my older laptop.

@anirbandutta01, I suggest using Rufus and ticking the local account, BitLocker, and hardware bypass options when creating the bootable USB. Rufus always successfully worked for me on unsupported or supported Windows systems.

When you boot from the USB, there will be a "use the old setup" option on the third or the "install Windows" screen. Click on the option to use the old Windows installation setup. If you continue with the new setup, the bypass won't work.

Please give me screenshot if you have. Thanks for your support.

Rufus is great, but you have to format the usb memory with a single iso to be used.
Ventoy do all with no need of formatting; you can use any number of iso files for several OS.
Also, you can use it to install from iso file on your hd; this will boost the speed of install as the read speed is much more higher from hd than from usb memory.

Yes, that's right, just back up the USB memory before formatting. (y)

Correct, ventoy accepts ISO files of various operating systems, utilities, antivirus, backup tools just by copying the ISO file into the root of the usb memory. :)

As far as I know, Ventoy doesn't have the feature that skips the Windows 11 installation requirements, only Rufus has this feature. Unless you add a modified Windows 11 ISO. ;)

It has; I used it to install W 11 23h2 on unsupported core 2 duo PC.
It bypassed all restrictions and even sign in with ms account.
This was added to its latest version.
I do not use multiple iso files, but I do like speeding up install process it provide when using iso on hdd.
