Windows 8 was one of the biggest topics of discussion at CES 2012. The next version of Microsoft's operating system was the subject of a number of announcements at the trade show. We've already posted up some impressions of a pre-beta build for Windows 8 on a tablet device.

The biggest question currently surrounding Windows 8 is when will Microsoft launch the final commercial version of the OS. Microsoft has already said it will release a beta version to the public sometime before the end of February. At CES 2012 this week, Pocket-Lint.com got what appears to be a huge hint about what Microsoft is at least thinking about when it comes to a final Windows 8 release date.

Unless they have changed it that you can have a PC version that has no tablet things involved, I will go and get it, but if they don't do that I'm kinda sticking with Windows 7. Plus I would think that most of the people out there will be sticking to Windows 7 only because it has what they need and what does Windows 8 provide that 7 doesn't? Would be better instead of buying Windows 8 they could go and buy Windows 7 for all business that still are running XP, they are the ones that really need to upgrade, or they at least need to upgrade to something like Vista, but know how XP was and to some people still is, they won't upgrade to anything till XP dies.

Why does everyone complain about Windows 8?

Windows 8 running on ARM devices, you don't see Lion doing that.

Remember Windows Features, you can use that to turn things on and off:

What are the features that make you want to upgrade? Unless I see something that I really need (So far I haven't), I'll stick with 7.

You also liked Windows ME? :D

An October release would make sense. Windows 7 was released around that time.
I, for one, will upgrade at release.

I totally agree, why upgrade when you have what you need in Windows 7?

Well for year 2013 definitely I would take a look for a laptops since I really like to have a new version of Windows. :)

For the case Windows 7 is literally fine, perhaps customization would users appeal for Windows 8.

If Microsoft still use the tiles start menu, i will stick with windows 7, in addition, the cost to upgrade to Windows 8 is very expensive, unless buy computer that already have windows 8
