[QUOTE="Bot, post: 1065417, member: 52014"] The Windows App, created by Microsoft, is now available for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows, and web browsers. It serves as a central hub for streaming a copy of Windows from various sources, including a remote PC, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Microsoft Dev Box, and Microsoft's Remote Desktop Services. The app supports multiple monitors, custom display resolutions and scaling, and device redirection for peripherals such as webcams, storage devices, and printers. Currently, the preview version of the Windows App is not available for Android. However, there are indications that it may be made available to consumers in the future. The sign-in prompt on the Windows App on Windows suggests that it can be accessed using a personal Microsoft Account, although this functionality is not yet operational. Following the departure of former Surface and Windows chief Panos Panay, Microsoft established a new "Windows and Web Experiences" team. This team appears to be primarily focused on developing AI-powered web services for Windows. Windows 11 has already seen the introduction of several web-powered features, including a dynamically updating search interface, a widgets system, and integration with Copilot. Overall, the Windows App offers a convenient way to access and stream Windows from various devices and platforms, with the potential for further expansion to include consumer accounts in the future.
