On the official website, I see Windscribe VPN Free 2GB/10GB, 2GB without email & 10GB with email.

Do we get ads with the free version?

And I guess Windscribe is the only VPN that gives 2/10GB data with free version & more country?

Any other free VPN that gives better than Windscribe free?

No ads with free version.

2GB if you signup without email.
10GB if you signup with email.
15GB extra if you signup with email and share on twitter.
50GB if you got lucky in a giveaway.

You will still be able to get 10GB with disposable email.

The 50 GB giveway, the speed is the same as premium version?

After using Windscribe VPN client on Windows and with Spotify v.1.41.x shortening SSD lifespan, is this an issue?

See column 'I/O write bytes' below.

upload_2016-11-23_12-42-3.png

1,700,000,000 bytes = ~1.7GB
1,200,000,000 bytes = ~1.2GB

Running for about 2 hours.

@Spawn

The issue of Spotify causing massive writes to disk is a hot potato right now ( more here ) .
It is a serious concern for people using SSDs , where constant writing to the same block of cells should be avoided.

But I don't think it reflects badly on Windscribe in any way .

Getting back on topic , I see no sign of any ads whatsoever with Windscribe .

According to MS, the "I/O write bytes" column represents the number of bytes written in input/output operations generated by a process, including file, network, and device I/O's.

So the value you're seeing for Windscribe VPN in Task Manager is not necessarily only the disk writes; it could also be network writes (being a network application this is very likely).

You need to use Sysinternal's Process Explorer and view the "Disk Write Bytes" column to see the actual amount of disk data Winscribe has written.

I must say I am quite happy with Windscribe, Sent my first support ticket in today and got a response within 10 minutes. Had a code 2 error earlier. Lets hope they maintain their support.

Big Shoutout for Windscribe

Thank you for limiting my downtime!
