Battery care: Xbox Support
Unlike traditional Xbox wireless controllers, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has an internal rechargeable battery and doesn’t require the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit or AA batteries. When the battery level is low, the battery indicator light on the face of the controller will turn solid amber.

The Elite Series 2 has a battery life of up to 40 hours when used wirelessly without a headset. Battery life varies significantly with additional accessories (such as headsets), usage, and other factors. Here are some other things to keep in mind when charging:
  • The controller doesn’t require you to follow a specific charging practice. For example, you don’t have to fully deplete the battery before recharging it.
  • The controller can be plugged in indefinitely if you prefer to play with a wired connection. This won’t affect your battery even if it’s at 100%.
  • We recommend charging your controller from an Xbox console or PC only. Avoid alternative charging methods like a USB wall charger.

Anyone got some personal experience on the analog drift issue regarding the Elite models?
I know it has to appear at some point, but how long does the "grace period" lasts?
