I can't run any sort of virus scan such as ComboFix, Malwarebytes, etc. When I tried to do an OTL or aswMBR LOG scan I got redirected page saying that Free Download Manager was not properly installed.I would get redirected to I accidentally downloaded clicked a download pop up while on first row sports website. It is called xvidly. I can't fully remove it and need some help. Whenever I try to download an antivirus or malware software or scan I get redirected to the page saying that Free Download Manager was not properly installed. I can't find a way to get around this redirect to fully remove it from my computer. Has anybody had this problem or know how to go about this?

Which Operating System you are using and do you have Google Chrome installed on your computer?

Try to download using Google Chrome... If you are getting Free Download Manager prompt press on Cancel.
STEP 1: Run a scan with OTL by OldTimer
<ol><li>Download the OTL utility using the below link :

<li>Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

Settings You need to Select in OTL
- Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
- Change Standard Registry to All.
- Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.

Sorry for the delay for so long, I was absent from my computer. I tried to do the old timer one through Google Chrome but it sent me to the free download manager again!
All I have is the laptop I am on right now (which contains the virus or whatever this is) and than I also have an Ipad.
I could possibly use one of my roommates laptops, they have a Mac. Would that be of benefit for getting the virus of my laptop here?
