hello

I want to play a bit with comodo 7 so here is my update set up^^

PC Environment: home
Security Awareness: Intermediate
Exposure to Malware: Medium/Low
Infection Rate: Low
Anti-Malware Testing: no
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64
Architecture: 64-bit
User Account: Administrator
Real-time Protection: Comodo internet security 7 (default settings except BB/sandbox in untrusted),
On-Demand Tools: Malwarebytes free, hitmanpro
Web Browser: Mozilla firefox (1), IE11 (2)
Extensions and Plugins: Adblock Plus, lastpass, webutation
Backup: soon
Other tool: ccleaner, privazer, filehippo update checker, ESET Social Scanner (facebook)

I removed winpatrol free, useless in my opinion;
Feel free to comment^^

Came back to my favorite webroot finally^^
after one week with comodo; it's more polish but always same past issues with unknown files from window and drivers which can cause system problems; the new web filter is not really ready and my surf was slow; not really impressed finally by this V7; it's nice on paper but not so stable as always
i am finally happy to come back in webroot world; my laptop thanks me lol;)

Finally get rid of fsecure; not sure but i think they really should make an update for window 8.1 computers; there were more and more freezes with time and last days it was too much; this product is at final quite heavy for a laptop i came back with kaspersky (antivirus) and i am surprised as my laptop feel better, no freezes and all good; so here is my actual setup

Exposure to Malware: Low
Infection Rate: Low
Anti-Malware Testing: no
Operating System: Windows 8.1
Architecture: 64-bit
User Account: Administrator (UAC at default level)
Real-time Protection: Kaspersky antivirus, window firewall (by default)
On-Demand Tools: SuperAntispyware 6 (pré release)
Web Browser: Firefox, IE10 (2)
Extensions and Plugins: lastpass, adfender
Backup
: window
Other tool: ccleaner, filehippo update checker, iobit uninstaller, system explorer

Very frequent changes. In fact products you have chosen for realtime are not light except Avira, Eset and webroot.
You ll probably not find anything lighter than Avira, webroot and Eset.

Light does not mean its good. The topic starter has Kaspersky AV + Windows FW on this system which is not a bad combo.
And none of the programs you have mentioned are going to top that level of general security well eset might...but its all apples and eggs.

Yeah, the new kaspersky is light & good indeed :)
Its a very very good choice.
@n.nvt I agree with what you say, I only referred to them as some light solutions (simple & light).
