I'm currently using Kaspersky 2015 so am very pleased by the above results Would there be a difference between the free version of avast! and their internet security suite?

Not at all, maybe just firewall alerts for outgoing connections from malware if its not detect. Free/is/premier use the same core protections/stream updates. there is no different when it comes to malwareblocking.

The report has been updated. Norton Internet Security was tested, not Norton Security. (It had not even been released yet.)

Also would be interesting to know why they have tested the Free version of Avast instead of their Internet Security Suite.

Actually in the various tests I have seen it was almost always the free avast! version that was tested. I suppose this is done because the free avast!version is vastly more used. With Bitdefender on the other hand, the paid version is vastly more used than the free version.
