Hello,

I have a MacBook Air and I think I may have malware. The old anti-virus program ClamXav will not update properly and Safari browser is acting strange saying I have pop-up blockers so I cannot open any links in emails, even though I turned all of those off.

If there is something good that is strong, something like Combo Fix please let me know.

Thank you!
Dawn

Thank you everyone so much. I will certainly look into those :)
Hello,
You should really check what programs you have installed on your machine. The companies known for creating malware (in fact PUP's) for MAC OS X are Spigot and Genio. If you find any program developed by these companies, uninstall it.
As antivirus, to run a scan, I would go with Avast Free Antivirus for Mac. http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-mac
