Unfortunately, no. I've tried that a few times and all it does is complete reset of Windows Update. It only helps if there is an error.Would this be of any help for people with update issues?
I've never used it myself.

I cannot install this update too. Update history says it's installed successfully, but it's not shown in Installed updates list. When I restart laptop after "successful installation", I get "We couldn't complete updates, undoing changes". This is like, at least, 20th time Windows Update downloaded this package.

I did. I've also tried cleaning SoftwareDistribution folder and it didn't help. You can try restarting the Windows Update service.
I'll rather wait for Microsoft to fix this. I've reinstalled Windows already few months ago. Also, I've been searching and apparently there is only solution for black screen. There are various fixes that can be tried. You have to search online. The best fix is a clean install of Windows.
You don't need a new license for it but only pro edition of win10.i could be wrong but i think you will need a new activation key for that.
Same here but I guess we are luckyI don't have those mentioned problems
You can try Windows Update MiniTool.but it's not shown in Installed updates list
Still the fault lies with MS, as they asked everyone to upgrade to win10.ain't nothing botched up unless you got legacy hardware, imo
Edge ain't working now. Thanks for the heads up. You can use Dism Cleanup to clear older updates.1. Edge breakage
2. BSODs
3. Black Screens
Changed default home page to Google and everything works now.Edge ain't working now. Thanks for the heads up. You can use Dism Cleanup to clear older updates.
Lmao, you are right. Although they couldn't force me, I was the willing onei would replace the word asked with the word forced
I doubt that will work. I've tried manually installing update package downloaded from Microsoft Update Catalog and still keeps failing. It's weird because I've updated desktop PC without any problems. You can try Windows Update MiniTool.
its a good alternative for win update I'm using it and not even one problem.
Seems this one works better than win update because of a good developer behind it and he probably is better than Microsoft engineers

If you have a Professional, Enterprise, or Education edition of Windows 10, you can turn off automatic updates. But the option is hidden.i would replace the word asked with the word forced
