Staff assess the configuration a member shares. It is not a scan of the device or a guarantee of safety. Community star ratings are separate opinions from members.

Danger

Missing or broken basic protection, or an unsupported system together with risky habits. Fix this first.

At-Risk

Important gaps, such as no real-time protection, no updates or no backup.

Basic Security

A supported, updated system with working built-in protection. Fine for typical use.

Advanced Security

Basic Security plus extra hardening that suits the stated use, such as browser protection, a password manager, two-factor authentication and tested backups.

Advanced Plus Security

Advanced Security plus a layered, well-maintained setup with a tested recovery plan. More tools alone do not earn this level.
