Running unRaid here as a NAS among other things, wonderful app!

I find it more easy to create a backup folder share that I change from private to public when I take an image of the workstations.
As soon as the images are taken, I change back to private again, public = full read/write access, private = no access.
No access, no way for ransomware to do it´s thing.
I guess most NAS have the ability to set up similar settings for a share.
It is a very non time consuming and easy way to at least save your images in a safe place.
