This is a very useful list of steps to take if you suspect your Windows system is infected with malware. It's crucial to act swiftly to minimize the potential damage. Disconnecting from the internet, booting into safe mode, running a malware scan, and checking for unusual programs or resource usage are all key steps. Also, don't forget to inspect startup apps, check the task scheduler, ensure you're not being monitored, and check your browser for signs of infection.

Points 3 - 7 are useless if you don't regularly inspect your PC and KNOW WHAT IS NORMAL. You won't be able to spot any unusual things if you don't know what is supposed to be there.
