Hello,
I have a big problem with EIS.
When I start my PC EIS don't launch and I get the following message:
"A major problem prevents the application startup
EIS can not connect to the application service. Restart the PC and try again or contact the support.
"
I have also contacted Emsisoft support but I'm not sure that they work during the week end so I hope that
you can help me before Monday.
Thanks.

Hello JB007 i had the same error messages as your. What i did to solve was to use the Emsisoft's removal tool. Restart. Then started my laptop in safe mode and manually remove all the previous settings. After that i was able to reinstall the product. Hope this will help you :)

I want to make 2 suggestions.
First if you have Virtual Box installed i recommend removing it because sometimes there is a conflict between VB and Emsisoft.
Second uninstall EIS with a 3rd party software - i suggest Revo Pro - and then reinstall EIS.

a2service, and a2guard look to be missing from the running processes.
I wanted to see your config, but your profile does not have a link to your config
and I'm not digging for it, but are you using 11 or 12 ?
As it stands now I would follow tonibalas advice above ;)

Thanks @Balrog
What do you mean when you say "manually remove all the previous settings" ?

Not VB, I don't have Revo Pro but I can try it. Are there special settings ?

I'm using EIS 11 (12 is beta).
OK I will try Revo Pro.
