Yeah, except giving someone a maximum sentence of 31-years is completely ridiculous considering what he did.

He was never convicted. You should never assume nothing.

Perhaps, he could have been sentenced and been paroled after 5 years or maybe he would have been sentenced and let go. With this kind of cases, you never know how they ll end up.....until the end.

Six months, thats the most he would have served if he had taken an offer from the prosecutors. Interesting article, for open minded people ONLY.

Excellent find with that article Bo.

I found this quote interesting:

Swartz’s family says his suicide was
“the product of a criminal justice system rife with intimidation and prosecutorial overreach.”

There are many creative individuals out there, not unlike Mr. Swartz, that have toxic copper levels. Toxic copper is very commonly consumed and is a big reason why people get "stressed out", and is also responsible for intense personalities that get overzealous about the smallest tasks, thoughts and problems. You will feel very creative and euphoric, and your neurotransmitters like; dopamine, serotonin and epinephrine will go to much higher levels and activity than usual, like you are tripling anitdepressant medications while not even taking antidepressants. Tap water, dark chocolate, beer, and coffee provide much more copper than we need. Not all copper is always bioavailable in the body, no matter how much the body has stored. That said, sometimes a copper toxic person will have many times the levels of copper suddenly taken up by the bodily systems, and others, very little is taken up. A result of that can be terrible mood swings, or suicidal behavior. One thing is certain, whether the copper is being utilized by bodily processes or not, there is always toxic copper present in certain people. Hair analysis is the best way to find if you are copper toxic.

To remedy that you would work you way up to 10,000mg ascorbic acid per day, along with 200-300mg of zinc chelate and lots of water. If one tried that for about 5 months, it make take care of it. Then you get another hair test.
NOTE: when taking high levels of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) one must gradually work their way up to that amount over a two week period, and come off of it gradually as well, as to prevent diarrhea and rebound scurvy, respectively.

There is also Wilson's disease, which primarily includes symptoms of toxic copper via gene mutation.
