AdBlock is not to be confused with AdBlock Plus.

Sorry, I didn't understand that. I thought if Adblock Plus or Adblock chrome uses are both same things. Could you please tell me the differences between the two? Your quick response will help me purchase license for the right option. Waiting...

Why do you want to purchase ? Both are free. If you wish you can donate, but don't have to purchase anything.

@Domelo Both extensions are similar, but developed by different people and they are FREE unless you wish to DONATE.

AdBlock - https://getadblock.com is developed by Michael Gundlach + Katie
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdBlock

AdBlock Plus - https://adblockplus.org is developed by Wladimir Palant
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adblock_Plus
http://adblock.tenderapp.com/kb/tec...e-difference-between-adblock-and-adblock-plus

It may not answer your question, but read up on the differences (follow the links), and you'll know more that way. :)

I don't think both (Adguard's adblock chrome or ABP) would be free. I was checking their prices online and came to know through amazon store that the Adguard Pop-up ad blocker is available for $29.99 (if I am not mistaken), eventhough, it's free version is available on its official site, yet it doesn't offer full features. So, what's the point to donate now?

I really appreciate your efforts , but as I said in my post earlier, Adguard.com doesn't offer full-featured adblocker for free. You can check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=adguard.

Regarding the ABP, it's free perhaps, but I don't think that it would offer full features for free too.

Your initial post said adblock chrome but linked to adguard. Adguard is not free but adblock is free. I don't understand why you would want to spend money when you get fully featured adblocker for free..
Link for adblock chrome https://getadblock.com/

ABP and adblock for chrome and completely free and it has all the features which is available in adguard.
All you have to do is install any of these two extensions and subscribe to filter lists as per your taste. Some links which might be useful

AdblockPlus(Chrome & Firefox): https://adblockplus.org/en/firefox
Adblock(Chome Only): https://getadblock.com/

After installing any of the above extension, go to this website and subscribe to additional filters. Recommended filters are Easylist, EasyPrivacy(for tracking protection), Fanboys Annoyance List(for blocking social media buttons like facebook, twitter and google+)
https://easylist.adblockplus.org/en/

Malware domain list(for blocking malware related links) available in below link

Many users don't understand how to use filter lists. Paid products take advantage of that and advertise saying it blocks even better. Truth is they subscribe to these additional filters.

Yes, you're probably right, but the point is, I myself is not a developer nor am I an expert of IT, and I am not sure which filter is used for what purpose. To avoid such issues, I prefer any ad blocker that offers all-inclusive features as does Adguard.com.

Donating reply:
The point of donating is to support the developer(s)/team who are putting their time and effort into a free product. It's like giving something back.

Filters reply:
Even with Free Ad-Blocking software, you don't have to be an expert to add/remove filters, the defaults work straight out of the box. However, should you wish to add more filters, the options are there and are clear to what they're offering (may differ between products). Not all filters are required.

Paid vs Free reply:
Personally, I don't see the point of spending $30 on Ad-Blocking software, may alternates are free and popularly used by both new and experienced PC people. Not every piece of software has to be paid-only. Imagine having to pay for Firefox and a subscription for using Google Search (Web and Image). What about Youtube becoming a pay-per-view site only?

You said, "Regarding the ABP, it's free perhaps, but I don't think that it would offer full features for free too."
What "full features" are you referring too? Because as far as I'm concerned if ABP blocks an Ad, that's job done.

So a paid product, does not equal a better product/service. (For example: Receiving bad customer support). Also there's a more than likely chance that 'The People of The Internet' will help for free products, so it's not a complete loss for free software.

Finally, you may want to disable AdGuard on MalwareTips as we do not have Ads on the site. Value for money, right? :p

It's not that I am disagreeing with your point, but perhaps, you also didn't pick up my point. The point of spending $30 in my opinion doesn't go useless on adblock - adguard, because I am gonna get full features with all securities. Similarly, if some of the filters offered by ABP are available for free, AdGuard ad blocking software also offers the same for free here (http://adguard.com/en/extension.html). Apart from this, there are so many open source ad blockers also available online such as the AdAway and AdFree ad blockers. So, what we need is a reliable product that is free from issues and in my opinion, AdGuard has never been featured as a faulty software on such a huge scale as ABP did. Isn't it? If so, then which product is more reliable even when the functionalities and features are same and the one I'm talking about consumes low memory/CPUand the other does more?

Well, if you are convinced that adguard is better then use that. After all everyone here are different and each one has their own preference.
