Unfortunately, not all extensions are compatible; only WebExtensions. What extension(s) do you need?

Yeah, I have Popup Bookmarks with Firefox. I'd really prefer Popup my Bookmarks and really don't like Firefox built-in solution. Just me.That extension isn't available. You can use browser built-in solution, or you can use an alternative in form of add-on.
Sometimes, unfortunately, compromises have to be made. When I was transitioning from Chrome, I missed the translation feature which I managed to replace with TWP - Translate Web Pages add-on. I also needed Shazam extension for identifying music from videos and of course there wasn't an add-on for Firefox, so I installed Librezam which does the job.Yeah, I have Popup Bookmarks with Firefox. Indeed, although I wouldn't want FF to look like Chrome. But to each his own.This. I don't really see the reason why are people refraining from using Firefox. Especially when you can just install a MaterialFox theme and have Firefox look exactly like Chrome. 100% of Firefox is customizable; you don't like something, just change it. Literally nothing is preventing you.
This is essentially what I'm using. The only things I changed in about:config are telemetry, disabled Pocket, and made tab and address bar smaller. No need to mess with other things really.Indeed, although I wouldn't want FF to look like Chrome. But to each his own.
@TairikuOkami Your second link gives the same advice as I've been following for a long time, as suggested here:

Firefox Privacy or: How I Learned to Stop Hardening and Love Strict Tracking Protection
Firefox is popular in online privacy communities because it is a high quality, open source web browser that is extensively configurable. Unfortunately, those communities often instruct new Firefox users to configure Firefox in ways that end up hurting their overall web browsing experience...www.quippd.com
Can I run a Chrome extension that does not have a Firefox version on Firefox?
Yes that's why I shifted to Brave from Firefox.Brave browser is the best alternative as it's chromium with better adblocking capabilities then chrome
Thank you for the information. I'm using Firefox Android but there's no option to lock Private Browsing season with Pin/Password/Fingerprint like chromium browser. It's a privacy related feature and after many requests Mozilla didn't worked on the feature.Especially when you can just install a MaterialFox theme and have Firefox look exactly like Chrome.
Hopefully brave will add extensions to Android just like edge did (they ported the function from kiwi browser) but for now I'm using edge on Android and brave on PCsBrave browser will be a better option for you, all chrome extensions works as its chromium plus you get the excellent adblocking. I am facing the same problem regarding some extensions, will test Adguard extension in Chrome after June and if it works well then good otherwise I will shift to Brave:

The browser that puts you first | Brave
The Brave browser is a fast, private and secure web browser for PC, Mac and mobile. Download now to enjoy a faster ad-free browsing experience that saves data and battery life by blocking tracking software.brave.com
I've used it but battery performance is poor.for now I'm using edge on Android
I read Brave free browser blocks 3rd party ads/trackers...so, I'd still need/want an ad blocker for 1st party ads/trackers?Brave browser will be a better option for you, all chrome extensions works as its chromium plus you get the excellent adblocking.
Yeah, you can slap a MaterialFox theme on Firefox and make it look like Chrome, but that's really just surface-level stuff. Under the hood, Chromium-based browsers like Chrome are on a whole different level when it comes to security and performance.don't really see the reason why are people refraining from using Firefox. Especially when you can just install a MaterialFox theme and have Firefox look exactly like Chrome
People complain more about Firefox's mistakes because they market themselves as privacy champions. Their brand is built on trust, so any slip-up feels like a betrayal. In contrast, Google openly collects data, so users know what to expect.wonder why everybody is complaining about Firefox doing one bad move while companies like Google collect user data since the beginning.
You might say that, but only in part.Is Brave browser free just a platform to upsell Brave Premium?
No, they just provide features for users who do use crypto. Is Brave free browser revenue stream...the crypto thingy?
NoIs Brave browser free just a platform to upsell Brave Premium?
Yes, but they're not intrusive ... Brave Search Premium gets you ad-free results.Brave free browser has search ads?
Only if you opt-in to Rewards, which then serves "privacy friendly" ads that don't track you.Brave Rewards feels like I'm supporting ads...
You can't block 1st party ads, e.g. if you're on GMail, Google may track you and there's no defense against it. You opt in to whatever a website is serving up to you when you go to it. You get 1st party whatever, it's all or nothing.I read Brave free browser blocks 3rd party ads/trackers...so, I'd still need/want an ad blocker for 1st party ads/trackers?
Geez...and I've recently been browsing with Waterfox. Some forks like Waterfox and others are worse for privacy. Check who owns and develops them.
Geez...on Yahoo mail....uBO blocks Inbox ads. On YouTube....uBO blocks YouTube ads. On cnn....uBO blocks ads in cnn videos. uBO blocked sponsored ads with Google search results. Guess, I think of those as 1st party ads. Does Brave natively block those ads?You can't block 1st party ads, e.g. if you're on GMail, Google may track you and there's no defense against it. Yes, 3rd party ads on the side bar, but you'll notice ads at the top of your inbox.on Yahoo mail....uBO blocks Inbox ads
