Serious Discussion Adguard for Android Phone

Hello guys, I don't know if it is right section but I am asking for help from learned members of this forums to guide me in this matter.

Recently I have installed Adguard app on my android phone (s22 ultra). I have not activated HTTPS filtering yet. To activate HTTPS filtering it is required to install Adguard certificate. As Adguard is supposed to block all ads in the system, I am afraid it will hamper the security of sensitive information like password, personal or financial information, as it will be then able to intercept all the data send and receipt by all the apps.

My question is, is it safe to install Adguard Certificate to enable HTTPS filtering or should I left it disabled?

Thank you Rashmi for your reply. I have read in adguard knowledge base that they have a huge exclusion list/white-list of websites that are automatically exclude from HTTPS filtering. However can you direct me to the exclusion of certain apps in my device from HTTPS filtering.

Thank you, I figured out how to manage HTTPS filtering on a per-app basis.

I would suggest you not to use adguard on Android, it will not work on most of the apps even with https filtering for example youtube, firefox etc and you will still see ads in those apps. In my experience it slows down the entire browsing.

It slows down browsing if you enable HTTPS filtering, but not significantly. And it blocks ads in Firefox too. You just have to enable third party certificate support in the hidden settings.

I use it and with HTTPS filtering because I trust it. It's one of the companies that didn't go malicious.
