I just updated to v7.4. I had to go to "About" and then I was given the option to update.

I did not automatically receive the update, I had to download manually and install. After that, it needed a reboot because it could not find the browser extension in the Chrome Store. It did find it after the reboot, and everything works like a charm now.

version 7.4 Hotfix from May 28, 2020

Release rule №1 (or Murphy’s law, if you like): even when everything seems perfect, one or two hotfixes follow the new version.
This is a minor post-release fix. We’ve slightly tweaked UI trial windows, so now ‘I have a license’ option is not hidden anymore in some cases. Also, fixed the issue when a message can't be sent to support. And we also took our chance to polish a few other important things under the hood.

Here we go - the Hotfix 2! A few more UI improvements, now it runs a lot smoother. Also, we paid special attention to the Firefox compatibility problem. Five quick stitches and AdGuard for Windows is patched up as good as new.

Indeed. Its thrashing somewhere. I noticed that Norton Power Eraser detects the AdGuard folder as "dangerous". What's with that?

My Emsisoft doesn't pick it up.

My sister's Emsisoft flagged it as "suspicious" yesterday while installing Adguard desktop for the first time on her pc. Its installed and all seems ok.

Emsisoft also picked it up after the new Update

Emsisoft's behavior blocker relies heavily on cloud whitelisting. You may see this more often while installing updates of apps. It's even known to cause issue with Firefox when Firefox receives a new update.
