I reset the router several times in the past, I checked the settings yesterday and all seemed fine. However, I've reset it again... (It's hard to say whether it helped or not due to unpredictable and occasional appearance of the symptoms...)

It came back. Using Edge 25.10586.0.0, visiting a new page made several windows pop-up and hid all the page contents behind several full page ads. (The page was www.tvprogram.sk -- it's clean).
I feel desperate.
