IntelBroker, a notorious hacker and moderator on the Breach Forums cybercrime platform, has announced the successful breach of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD – AMD.com). The alleged intrusion, which took place in June 2024, reportedly resulted in the theft of a significant amount of sensitive information, spanning across various categories.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is an American multinational semiconductor company that develops computer processors and related technologies for both consumer and enterprise markets. Founded on May 1, 1969, AMD has grown to become one of the leading companies in the semiconductor industry.
Details of the Breach
In a recent post on Breach Forums, IntelBroker detailed the extent of the compromised data. The hacker claims to have accessed information related to the following records:
- ROMs
- Firmware
- Source code
- Property files
- Employee databases
- Customer databases
- Financial information
- Future AMD product plans
- Technical specification sheets
Employee Data Exposed
The alleged breach also includes the complete database of AMD employees, which contains sensitive personal information such as:
- User IDs
- Job functions
- Email addresses
- Employment status
- First and last names
- Business phone numbers
