How does a company spin the fact that it lost a whopping $590 million in its last fiscal quarter as "solid results"? It's actually pretty easy if you have AMD's latest financial results. The PC CPU and GPU processor company said this week that the loss for the first quarter of 2012 was due in part to a one time accounting charge of $703 million.

The Next-Gen PlayStation could be using AMD CPU/GPU.

Making 2 companies that think alike.

I've heard that AMD's are cheaper than Intel. Am I correct?

According on my shortly research Intel have likely better hardware type than AMD thus it came from the prices that AMD is cheaper on it.

Also someone stated about this.

AMD= Better Performance
Intel= Smarter Performance

Rumors say the next-gen Xbox will be more powerful using Intel rather than AMD, and EA is in favour of Xbox. Obviously.

Comes back down the Intel vs AMD.

So AMD would have turned a profit if it wasn't for that account charge. :) ....

Saw this comin'. They just never had what Intel had. It was not that I thought that AMD chips would not perform well, it is that you could not rely on them for the long haul.

In India AMD's are fare cheaper than Intel but Intel is a trusted brand and works for a long time. Not so sure about AMD, but their ATI graphic cards are top notch.

Only reason why I have stuck to Intel is because the laptop that I currently have at the moment, I have found out that the reason that it's fan is going at 100 miles an hour all the time is because of the AMD processor, and the reason why I know this is because my brother has the exact same laptop but it has an Intel processor not an AMD.
