Troubleshoot Android Chrome hijacked?

Infected operating system
Android 9
Infected device
Samsung s8 SM-G950FD
Infected device issues
I noticed that recently, on Google chrome on an Android device:
I would open gogle searches via text selection > long press > "web search"

Before the search results page loads normally, an unfamiliar favicon loads, instead of Google's favicon. The icon appears elsewhere on the browser, e.g. on "site settings". See screenshot. Then, it switches to Google's favicon.

Also started recently:
When searching google, and opening a result from the search engine's match- text-to-question section, The page opened will have yellow highlight on the line of text quoted by Google. Not as consistently as the previous symptom, though.

Is it a hijack ?
Do you recognize the site with the icon "bp"
