Android: excluding a folder

Infected operating system
Android 12
Infected device
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (SM-998U1)
Infected device issues
Malwarebytes scan takes hours to finish due to large directory of thousands of tiny image files.
Steps taken to remove the infection
No infection, just very slow scan that is causing phone battery to drain faster than desired. I do not have a laptop and must use my phone to do this work.

I frequently use my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for development of some personal software involving character and word recognition involving images. As a result, I have a data folder containing literally 10's of thousands of small (28*28*3) images of letters, digits and symbols, and ultimately images of objects and words. When Malwarebytes does a scan, it takes HOURS to complete because of this folder and I need to exclude it from scans. This folder currently has only images created by me and I feel comfortable excluding it. Unfortunately, Malwarebytes Android appears to have no way to exclude a folder from scans. Is there ANY WAY to do this?
