As warplanes pound ISIS targets and U.S. special forces ramp up operations in Syria, the war against the terrorist group may be unfolding on another far more unconventional front as well.

The hackers' collective known as Anonymous says it, too, is at war with ISIS. In a series of messages posted on Twitter and YouTube, Anonymous claimed to be "preparing to unleash waves of attacks" on the extremist group, which is also known as the Islamic State, ISIL, or by its Arabic acronym Daesh.

Interested to see how to unfolds

The US, Russia and Europe should unite and finish off the cancer of the world ISIS before it start spreading further. There should not be any rivalry among nations as a hindrance for this common objective.

the official website linked to the twitter account has been marked malicious by many AV engines, I'm wondering if it's all just a scam?

@Andytay70: Well Anonymous generally declare long time since ISIS continuously create chaos on Syria and Iraq +somewhere other parts, technically due to recent/fresh terror attack on Paris then they will not hesitate to continue more action.

The problem goes from now is conspiracy theory of ISIS background that until now isn't proven and everything are led to allegations/denial.

Can't really blame snowden though, I feel that his whistleblowing did more good than harm. Allowed citizens to be more savvy with their data.

These are the pros and cons of encryption, protects our data and the data of those that do harm.

I still stand with telegram's statement on privacy even though the service is being used for malicious activities, there are many other applications out there that are fully capable of doing what telegram is doing for ISIS, but it just so happens that ISIS chose telegram and in turn telegram is getting the heat.

The government just loves someone to blame for all the attacks

Everything is practical and technology helps in all circumstances, any instruments use for hidden agenda may not be surprise as the government needs to narrow down the possible causes.
