The cyber vigilante group, Anonymous is planning a “Day of Vengeance” in the wrongful execution of Troy Davis. The question is will they be able to make a statement to the country’s lack of moral and ethical compass via illegal means?
Troy Davis, 42, was the latest in an unending string of wrongful executions. Davis declared his innocence to the very end.
Needless to say, Anonymous, the cyber vigilante group, is not happy and is planning to react where the nation’s current leadership has failed.
“For the death of Troy Davis TARGET: GA State Parole Board www.pap.state.ga.us DOWN. Expect us Georgia.” This message was tweeted by an Anonymous affiliate according to PC Magazine.
This Saturday at noon ET, Anonymous will begin its “Day of Vengeance.” This will encompass an alignment of hackers that plan to launch cyberattacks on Wall Street, banking institutions believed to be corrupt and the New York City Police Department. Other cyber liberation groups including Anonymous are beginning to stage protests around the world.
