I've tried every solution on the internet to get google.com/google.ca as my default search provider, including unorthodox.io. It all ends with "Couldn't add this provider." After removing all items from the "Add a search provider" page, I can't get the list to repopulate.

What version of Windows 10 are you running; Stable or Insider Preview?

I had a similar issue when I tried to add DuckDuckGo.com. I resolved the issue by opening a new tab and visiting the site, then I added it to my search providers.

Stable. Here's my Edge:

Edit: Fixed. MPC Cleaner was preventing the manual search provider switch as I had to set to lock search provider changes. Killing MPC and then changing the search engine solved it. Seems a bit like a feature flaw on MPC's part. Thanks, Huracan.
