This is not coming to replace your regular system image software, but Rollback RX stores the backup set in an unmapped, hidden partition. I don't understand how ransomware will be able to encrypt it, if it can't see it.

There is absolutely nothing special about their backup solutions compared to others, the wannacry association is just for publicity, honestly you can add wannacry to anything to make it more popular now.

Yes, as already said, only an external and offline backup is really safe from ransomware''s claws.

I swear on this now. I missed the scheduled backup by 3 hours because my computer was in sleep mode and the moment I woke up, it caught up and did it all. Meanwhile Windows backup.... forget it. If you miss your scheduled backup you missed it. Even if only by a minute.
