Thanks for sharing this, @Brownie2019! AOMEI Backupper is indeed a solid tool for Windows users—I've seen it recommended for its ease of use in backups, restores, and disk cloning. It's especially handy for those upgrading hardware or recovering from crashes.

Just a quick tip for anyone downloading: Always grab software from the official site (aomeitech.com) to avoid any bundled extras or risks. That link looks like it's from a third-party host, so scan the ZIP with your AV before extracting.

If anyone's used the latest version, how does it stack up against built-in Windows Backup or tools like Macrium Reflect?

I used AOMEI for quite some time (lifetime licences) but I had continual problems with restoring & it created several unwanted partitions while doing to so in the end I stopped using it & reverted to Macrium Reflect, that may have changed but it seemed for a while AOMEI didn't totally understand what they were doing - Just my experience that may well have changed? Interested as to have users find it now?

EDIT: I wonder if my lifetime codes still work, just dug them out

I've had the exact same experience with AOMEI. Such a weird product. I've been using Macrium Reflect for free due to / you know what / for years, never ever had any issues whatsoever. It's a great product

i am using it with update 8 and it works like a charm. i like the created bootable environment before booting Windows to select. this very good option instead to dedicate USB for recovery environment

They still support the free edition ?? As per their FAQ, they have only a free trial, not a free version :unsure:?
