BBC said:
An Italian watchdog has fined Apple 900,000 euros ($1.2m, £750,000) for its handling of customer guarantees.

The country's Antitrust Authority said Apple had failed to inform shoppers of their legal right to two years' technical support, recognising instead only a one-year standard warranty.

It said the firm's action had led people to pay extra for Apple's own support service, which overlapped in part with the free guarantee.

Apple could not be reached for comment.

Not cool Apple .. Not cool..... Would be really interesting to see if there are other companies behave in this way.....When you try to buy a product they throw at you so many papers that it's actually easy to get scammed by this guys.
The 900,000 euros fine is actually not that much as I'm sure Apple made some sweet money by cheating their customers with the support service...

The real issue is the watchdog's work within the lay of their respective countries.
And the law maker's have not yet caught up with dealing with huge international companies like apple ,
900,000 euros is spare change to apple .
