A group of Apple's Safari web browser users has launched a campaign against Google over privacy concerns.

They claim that Google bypassed Safari's security settings to install cookies which tracked their movements on the internet.

Between summer 2011 and spring 2012 they were assured by Google this was not the case, and believed Safari's settings to be secure.

So far one person has begun legal proceedings against Google.

A law firm has been instructed to co-ordinate further claims made by other individuals.

Last year Google was fined $22.5m (£14m) in the US for the same actions.

I heard that Apple is going to release a TRS-80 with a Commodore 64's keyboard, and slap an Apple logo on it to address that issue. They might add an Atari app or two, and those will have Apple logos as well, just to make sure they are really popular and hip. Of course all of it will be made in rural China by children. WTO!

As for MT members, we know what apps and programs to use, as to thwart anything Google tries to gather via our virtual footprints.

Wow,now it's the Apple fans turn to sue.Everytime you hear news about Apple it seems it contains a legal proceeding against someone.I dont agree with Google doing that ,if in fact was the case. The problem is everyone is lawsuit happy which only hurts the average consumer. The lawsuit payouts roll down hill to us and we foot the bill for all these corporate hissy fits against one another,"This company made a phone with rounded corners, that was our idea let's sue". Before you know it a smartphone will cost a grand.

Or maybe it's Apple's way of making more money because they don't make enough money off of their overpriced products as it is.Either way you look at it we are getting it stuck to us.
