This is a totally true. If you read ancient texts you will find that each and everyone of them state that what ever we do is pre-planned. There's an ancient Vedic text known as 'Bhrigu Samhita', it has prediction of each and everything that will happen on the Earth. This kind of thing is never possible with conventional wisdom. There's a lot more thing out there than we can really think of. We are like a hand held calculator, we can calculate but we cannot compute.

I particularly do not believe the universe is a simulation. Even if it was with the evel of detail it has it would make no difference at all regarding what is "real".

Most people like the virtual world. Now a days people are more and more living in the virtual world. We are going virtual and the virtual world itself is becoming more like the real world. This also shows that we are really living in a virtual world, that's why the virtual world attracts us so much. Though the virtual world that we are living in is much more complex than whatever we can create ourselves.
