Hi.....i have hitman pro on disk, but my computer will not allow me to select another drive. F12 brings up options for boot menue, but cannot change. Went to bios settings, which i am unfamiliar with and changed first, secon and third boot device to cdrom. In startup the command prompt shows cd dvd but i cannot type y it then logs on and brings up virus screen

Ok, go to this link, follow the instructions to see if you can change the BIOS to boot from USB. Let me know if you have any questions or problem following the instructions

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ss/bootorderchange.htm

Please note if after the scan you can boot back to normal mode, that does not mean your PC is clean.

Hmmmm. Not having much luck. Am using award software if this helps

Not sure how to change boot order, looking in standard cmos features and advanced. Under hard disk boot priority it has press to enter.....dont know how to change.
Then under it has first, second and third boot device which i changed to cd rom .these keep defaulting back to floppy and hard disk. When i press f8 on start up it will not let me change settings

Is it hitmanpro Kickstart that's on the USB? Because having HitmanPro on a disk and USB doesn't mean you have the bootable version. If you just have the program HitmanPro on it, the PC can't boot from the USB/disk, you need a special bootable version.

No problem :)

If you can download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from someone's computer, it will be much easier. It is a small file and won't take more than 10 seconds to download and you won't have to change the BIOS option either.
