ESET, Panda and GFI didn't do that good. Im surprised to see ESET not blocking/detecting any on Execution.

Where is webroot in list?
Is it out of list :p

WSA is like Chuck Norris, it is so strong than tests labs don't bother to test it for keeping the other vendors' honor :D

Although we have to take other things in consideration:

False alarm test: MS and ESET has least FP.

Nevertheless, Kaspersky, Avast and ESET did ok (last page table)

Throughout the years, I have learned one valuable lesson: Don't always trust your feelings when it comes to security products. Instead, trial yourself and draw your own conclusions.

Kaspersky for example has been top dog for awhile, yet it is not everyone's cup of tea and sure wasn't prior to 2010.

A lot of users had good feeling when ESET announced version 4... result was not as expected.

McAfee is the best example: throughout the years, users have had good feelings and high hopes for each upcoming version... Result, only now in 2013 there are some signs of the mentioned hopes and they still kept their not so user friendly UI, although they are finally moving towards the right direction.

Not a surprise that Kaspersky did well, thought though that Avira would be higher up on the list.

It would have been nice to see Comodo in this test, but that's not likely to happen anytime soon is it lol.

even Norton and other big brands skip AV-C now, since test labs don't reflect real world infections.
