When reviewing these charts/graphs/etc, one has to be careful to look at the percentage rates. Ex: Microsoft scored 98.84% detection rate, hence a 1.16% miss rate out of 20,000 samples. That is pretty good for last place, near perfect.

Nevertheless, I will congratulate Kaspersky
Take the results with a grain of salt as always.

So, how do you choose your security product?
Lately and unashamedly I have scored A few keys for Emsisoft Antimalware and I am using it quite happily on both my machines, before that I was a long time Norton user also very happy with that product.

I personally like Kaspersky not because of tests like this but because it works for me.
It has very good layered security.

Do you test the malware samples in this forum? Does Kaspersky detects most of them?
