BD increases the boot time a lot, specially when you don't have an SSD

I remember that the boot time can be reduced by disabling the early boot scan of Bitdefender.

I did not disable it because I could go to drink some water during the boot time.

By the way, it seems that this problem was solved in the later versions of Bitdefender 2015 (I have not tried 2016).

I have a laptop with the 2016 version and even with the early boot scan disabled it takes many minutes to boot (without it it's fast). As I said, in my opinion, BD isn't light in systems with low resources

I don't know how ESET V9 works on that laptop, but when I tested the V8, it was working much better than BD.

Same names at all namely Avira, Bitdefender, Kasperksy, F-secure and few others which likely want to survive and hold those crucial results for their advertisement instrument in the future

Anyways performance of Microsoft is always a same fate, even though they will improve it hence only use for baseline purposes.
