Other members will enjoy this. Wonder what happened when it says "Keyboard Disabled", Avast froze the machine to make the keyboard not work, ha.

Yes because Avast use its "analytic common sense" shield to lock the keyboard of the users who still want go to unsafe sites :p

well i had no problems with the last few beta's before the relese of 7.0.1456 free then got the
double VPS update sounds on a few pc's

but i'v seen trouble on there forum where some of there oldtime forum members can't take criticism
very well or when someone asks for help and thay start arguing amongst there self's who is right
or it's not happening to me and the op don't come back and i fill sorry for the person that asked
for help

i mean i understand "stand for your brand" but geez's

When was this fixed?
I still experience slow shutdowns and boot up on the current version (not the beta).

Avast really start to be a bloated soft...with unnecessary features that conflicts with other security apps...(Webshield, etc...)

This is supposed to be CIS issue...not avast..and webshield isnt bloat...avast just started to use Latest TDI driver to support future OS's..so everything is normal

ok ok as you wish... :dodgy:

Avast changed their drivers after the last release of CIS, before there was no issues...so technically it is Avast conflict.

some other FW are affected also.

Also The IM shield is so important...

The problem existed even before CIS 5.10 came out: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93953.msg761764#msg761764

have a look at the date of the thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93953.msg747981#msg747981

Issue was posted before version 5.10 was to come out...avast updated their drivers in official release itself..

Putting CIS a side, what happens to Windows 7 Firewall and PrivateFirewall then? Shouldn't avast work on fixing such compatibly?

I know for a fact webshield does conflict with Windows 7 Firewall.

RE: Avast Beta 7.0.1461

they changed the drivers so it conflicts now with some FW, so the culprit is the new webshield, the other FWs changed nothing.

example: my graphic card is dead, i buy a new one, then i got BSODs, which is responsible? my computer or the new card?

they just updated their web shield because avast 7 was compatible in win8...and in win8 the old TDI driver was not supported at all..i dont think they will change it...once CIS and others come up with win 8 they will also update their drivers and problem will be gone...possibly in CIS 6..i think there is no fault of both vendors..

RE: Avast Beta 7.0.1461

It's interesting to me that Avast considered this Comodo's problem until users started asking why the Windows firewall wasn't working with the Webshield enabled. Now Avast is going to change it.

As the whole proxy based process of filtering connections brings some confusion (such as this) over time, we are planning to remove the proxy from future versions of avast and replace it with other techniques. Please stay tuned. :p

Somehow it feel's like Comodo always gets the blame for everything.
