avast! Free Antivirus is very good free antivirus, The only thing i hate is a lot of ads, but i Blocked avastUI file using Windows Firewall, So it can be solved.
For Home User, It is decent AV which provide very nice protection.
The best thing about avast! is that it does completely rely on its signature, If you disable Signatures & try to run some malwares its BB & DeepScreen works well.
