Since I am on mothers laptop I can't install in my VM so I installed on her laptop.

Their GUI is relatively same (even in older version) just some colors on the interface were changed.

Standalone Linkscanner 2012 was released also.

Windows

For 32 bit size installer: 76MB

For 64 bit size installer: 92MB

Mac OS X

Size installer: 28 MB

I had to un-install it and didn't manage to check task manager sorry.

Web connectivity was failing after installing. All is better now its gone.

I installed it.. First it installs the Av engine alone and we update the signatures then it downloads about 65 MB so the installer size is about 150 MB....

2011 version of AVG detection rates were just not that good, have disinfected a few computers with this as the IS.. I would like to see if they really have improved..

this for AVG usage of ram and still have many processes.

it's for AVG free, how about AVG IS? it's more again. with firewall and other probably. maybe up to 75MB? :D

On the screenshots the total of RAM usage was estimated to 60+ MB which not bat at all but its quite heavy.

lol ! CIS = full suite , 2 processes, 15mb working set on idle...

AVG? NO THANKS !

yep.
still heavy for users having less ram.
and have many processes at least theri must cut processes to just 2 or 3 processes.
the screenshot it's for AVG free version.

If you custom the installation and unchecked some components then the processes will appear is fewer.
