What's new
Improved performance - several performance optimizations to lower the disk and CPU usage during application installation

What was fixed
Sensitive Data Shield scans no longer finish prematurely

Known issues
Confirmation dialogue is not displayed correctly sometime when you disable components
Uninstalling AVG AntiVirus FREE no longer deletes Avast Passwords’ desktop/start menu icon (if you use that app)

A cleaner goodbye - If you ever uninstall us (gasp!), we now do a better job of removing all our files

What was fixed
Fixed BSOD in antirootkit and in ids driver
Fixed AvBugReport process crashes
Fixed issue with not correctly displayed confirmation dialogue during disabling components
Fixed possible infinite loop in SDS when scanning corrupted ZIP archives
Fixed possible infinite loop in SDS when scanning exotic registry values

Known issues
In paid versions headers are displayed twice
In AVG Smart Scan, when you watch progress of each item, finish of performance issues scanning is not correctly reported in UI, user have to stop the scan to see results

This makes me want to use them less. Why do companies think it is OK to post this kind of half a** work and expect people to jump for joy? Is it that difficult to remove an AV? Sorry, on a rant.

New options in settings - two old settings were returned back - Internet Connection Sharing Mode and Enable automatic port scan detection - you can find them under Firewall settings
It is now possible to schedule and also delete Quick scan
New option in Web Shield settings - Enable QUIC/HTTP3 scanning

Fixed issue in explorer scan - toaster was displayed just for first scan, now is displayed for each explorer scan

Known issues

• Webshield blocks internet after a period of a time (e.g. a week)
• Mailshield blocks incoming/outgoing messages in Thunderbird

Please note that as those serious issues were found in the very last moment and are already in currently released BETA version too, we decided to release the new version with those issues as fixes for them are not ready yet.

Fixed issues

• internet connection drop after few days of usage
• not working receiving and sending mail messages in Mozilla Thunderbird
• not functional dialog for adding application to be blocked by Sandbox, Ransomware, Sensitive Data Shield and Webcam Shield when Do not disturb (DND) component is not installed
• End User License Agreement (EULA) link was cut (although still EULA was displayed)
• virtualization on AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU
• occasionally blocked MS Windows 10 update by self-defense
• problems with nested virtualization (VBox/VMware)
• some malware could not be detected by CyberCapture/Sandbox component on latest MS Windows 10 (1903)
• ..and few crashes reported automatically from the clients

Known issues

• End User License Agreement (EULA) link from About dialog does not work for Internet Explorer and Opera browsers (when those are set as default)
• for some specific malware detected by CyberCapture/Sandbox the detection dialog is not shown (but malware is detected and removed successfully)
• when all shields are disabled (e.g. via tray) and enabled, Mailshield is not enabled (sometimes it requires restart in order to start successfully)
