It would be scary a bit for Avira users especially the warning sound that may shocked that it detect a virus.

It would have jolted users faith in avira. Considering the fact that after the facebook giveaway there would be many avira users. But the worst was mcafee which totally prevented xp from working by flagging svchost as trojan and quarantining it.

For Avira it isn't new to have a lot of FP issues but at least not the system critical Windows file that was happened before to Mcafee. Caused it will be a really nightmare to anyone and could lost more users to use Avira.
