App Review Avira free 2017 - quick test

It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.
Maybe it has something to do with the update intervals (every 2 hours) in Avira Free? Doesn't make sense though as the Cloud should be updated in real-time.

I have no idea but I don't think the update intervals involve in this
perhaps they install a behavior detection engine to decide which files should be pushed to the cloud. I forgot the check it out when I installed both versions

Yes, there is a file called "local decider" that decides which files are suspicious and should be uploaded.

The only way to reliably test for comparison is to test Avira free and Pro side-by-side at the very same time using the very same files. That would take two separate systems and testing performed on each product simultaneously.

There are very minor differences between free and Pro, that result in differences in detection that are not statistically relevant. A 1 or 2 % difference is essentially meaningless.
