System Cleaner : CCleaner
Firewall : None

I've removed every piece of security, because I trust myself to keep the machine safe, and I have the virus knowledge to removed any infections I receive.

RE: bbbbweb's Config

you may add EMET 2.1, Emsisoft Anti-malware instead of SAS, and Comodo Cleaning essential.

Not too keen on those products.

Emsisoft Anti-malware is a paid product.

Agree with the EMET suggestion.

I've looked at EMET and it isn't for me. Brains is all you need.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware has a freeware mode.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
When downloading, you'll get the full version including all protection features for 30+3 days for free. Afterwards the unpaid software switches to a limited freeware scanner mode that allows you to scan and clean your PC whenever you want, but does not include the protection features against new infections.

Yep, that's true. Although it would be easier to get the Emsisoft Emergency Kit.

RE: bbbbweb's Config

The EEK needs to download the full 60MB+ of updates every time you update it. Not worthwhile if you Internet connection isn't great.

MBAM, HMP and SAS are good enough on-demand scanners.

RE: bbbbweb's Config

You can also try NIS since it has a 90 days trail. After you change in Mcafee.

NIS is no longer in the running since I have EAM and a VIPRE subscription, not to mention Trend Micro :p

I'm rather curious to know what you mean by back-up browser?

A browser I use if my main browser fails or has had a loss of data, such as Chrome has sometimes done to me.
