I personaly would not have any don't see a need for a security router.

The spec for the Bitdefender box is poor, 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz no 5G or ac, 100Mbps lan would make my 300 Mbps internet pointless for lan clients.

Spec wise the Norton core look quite good 5GHz and 2.4GHz with AC 4x4 MU-MIMO, 1.7 ghz dual-core.

IMO, they're good as complement to routers which doesn't come with protection for IoT devices. If used solely as your home router their other features still lack behind those of the top-end traditional routers

Alternatively, you can choose those routers that comes with in-built IoT protection like from ASUS which teams with TrendMicro to protect IoT devices. However, ASUS(with TrendMicro) is collecting your personal data as stated in their privacy policy.

My verdict is to go for the Norton Core for it has more router-like features and its MU-MIMO feature as well but I like BD Box 2 for its indicator light turning blue-to-red if there's a problem detected(network vulnerability assessment).

BTW, both are not available in my country.

I stay with my custome build. more light more secure.. less cost.
SpyShelterFW - HIPS / FIREWALL / Encrypt keyboard and little SRP
Sandboxie - sandbox izolation some more SRP
Shadow Defender - Virtualization OS
ZemanaAL - MultiEngine scanner replace for traditional AV - more light

These are PC-based security software. Not for protection of your IoT devices

You'll need an anti-malware built into your router or use a hardware device(like the Norton Core, BD Box 2 etc) to complement your traditional router if it doesn't come with built-in IoT protection feature
