Bitdefender CryptoWall Immunizer v.1.0.7.92
Block Cryptowall and similar file-encrypting malware

Bitdefender CryptoWall Immunizer is a simple portable tool which can help to protect you from versions one and two of the Cryptowall file-encrypting virus.

CryptoWall Immunizer doesn't have to run in the background to be effective, so you can now close it and get on with the rest of your day.

CryptoWall infection can be limited and sometimes prevented with a few best practices:
1.Use an antivirus solution that is constantly updated and able to perform active scanning
2.Schedule file backups (either locally on in the cloud), so data can be recovered in case of corruption
3.Follow safe internet practices by not visiting questionable websites, not clicking links or opening attachments in emails from uncertain sources, and not providing personally identifiable information on public chats rooms or forums
4.Implement / enable ad-blocking capacities and anti-spam filters
5.Virtualize or completely disable Flash, as it has been repeatedly used as an infection vector
6.Train employees in identifying social engineering attempts and spear-phishing emails
7.Enable software restriction policies. System administrators need to enforce group policy objects into the registry to block executables from specific locations. This can only be achieved when running a Windows Professional or Windows Server edition.
